The Cleveland Browns promoted George McDonald to wide receivers coach.
McDonald joined the Browns' staff on February 11 of this year. He signed on as offensive quality control coach.
McDonald spent the previous two seasons as the wide receivers coach at the University of Minnesota, Prior to coming to Cleveland.
McDonald spent 2005-06 at Western Michigan University, where he worked with current Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings.

Cleveland Browns' head coach Eric Mangini held several press conferences over the past few days.
The Browns' owners have chosen a well spoken, character centered coach that can really shape a great Cleveland Browns future.

The Cleveland Browns Sign 14 Undrafted Rookies.
The Cleveland Browns sign 14 undrafted rookies.
The Browns have signed four Ohio natives among 14 players signed as undrafted free agents.
At this weekend's minicamp, all 14 will join the Browns' eight-man draft class and a group of tryout players.
The Ohio natives are:
DB Bryan Williams of Akron Buchtel High School and the University of Akron.
TE Mike Massey of Cleveland St. Ignatius and Michigan.
DL Adam Hoppel of Lisbon Beaver Local and Cincinnati.
OL Branndon Braxton of Youngstown Ursuline and Oklahoma.
Secondary players the Browns have signed include:
Corey Boudreaux (San Diego State)
Antonio Smith (Bowling Green)
Jason Venson (Central Florida)
Nathrain Ness (Arizona)
Marcus Benard (Jackson State), Jonathan Foster (Central State) and Phillip Hunt (Houston), are Linebackers in the class.
The Browns have signed these wide receivers:

Brent Casteel (Utah).
Offensive lineman Marlon Davis (Alabama) was also signed.

Cleveland Browns Aquire Bo Ruud
The Cleveland Browns were awarded linebacker Bo Ruud.
Off waivers from the New England Patriots, the Browns acquired Bo Ruud.
The Browns also announced that that made the decision to release Allen Patrick, running back.
Ruud was a sixth-round draft choice of New England last year.
He spent his entire rookie season on the Patriots' injured reserve list.
Born September 2, 1984, Rudd is 6-3, 235-pounds. He played in 46 games with 33 starts in his career at Nebraska and totaled 216 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 25 stops for loss.
Bo intercepted five passes, three of which he returned for touchdowns, tying a school record.
